In approximately 8 days I will be on a plane for Venice, Italy to begin a two week Italian Extravaganza. My friend Catherine and I will be completing a site survey for a new study abroad class exploring Italian art and architecture as it relates to modern theatrical practices.
We land in Venice the morning of January 27th. From there we will day trip to Vicenza to see an Italian Renaissance theatre. After a couple of days in Venice we plan on migrating to Florence with a possible day trip to Parma along the way. After Florence we train down to Rome for a week long stay. Sites will include a Roman theatre, the Pantheon and the Vatican (among other things!). Our final leg is down to Naples and Pompeii. All in all we will be there 12 days and will cover the country from north to south.

CityGirl, hope your flight went well! Looks like the weather in Venice today is much like that back home. Our ice is all melted, and we may even hit 50 this weekend.
